If Water Leaks from the Faucet or Water Supply Hose on Your LG Front Load Washer

If water leaks from the faucet or water supply hose of your LG front load washer, the hose may be loose, misaligned, worn, or damaged.
Additionally, a faulty faucet or excessive water pressure can also cause this issue.

Why Is Water Leaking From the Faucet or Water Supply Hose?

If water leaks from the faucet or water supply hose, it is typically caused by:

  • A loose or misaligned water supply hose at the faucet
  • A damaged faucet or excessive water pressure
  • A loose connection at the inlet valve on the back of your washer
  • A worn, cracked, torn, or punctured water supply hose

How to Stop the Leak

Case 1. If Water Leaks from the Faucet Connection

Close the water supply faucet. Disconnect the water supply hose from the faucet. Align the hose connector and reconnect it securely.

Case 2. If Water Leaks from the Faucet

Turn the water supply valve to reduce the water pressure. If the leak continues, the faucet may be damaged and must be replaced.

Case 3. If the Water Supply Hose Is Damaged

Replace the water supply hose if it is worn, cracked, torn, or punctured.
Purchase a compatible replacement hose from the LG website, LG Customer Support, or an authorized retailer.

Case 4. If Water Leaks from the Washer Connection

Close the water supply faucet. Disconnect the water supply hose from the back of your washer. Align the hose connector and reconnect it securely.

Case 5. If Water Leaks from the WashTower or SideKick Connection

Disconnect the hoses from the leaking connection, including the Y-connector. Align each hose with the correct connection and reconnect it securely.
