[ThinQ] When registering my product in ThinQ app, I get an alert that it has already been registered in a different country.

 How to Use LG ThinQ


Receiving an alert that user’s product has been already registered in a different country when registering the product on ThinQ mobile app.

   ※When your customer receives an alert that his/her product has been already registered in a different country (location of product purchase) when registering the product,              please respond to the customer according to the scenario below.


   1. Agent : Did you move to another country and accessed that country’s ThinQ account to re-register your product?  

      E.g. User have registered his/her product via USA account, moved to Korea and attempted to re-register the product via new Korean account.


       ▶ThinQ will indicate that your product is registered, because the product info used before remains on the server. 

          When relocating your product from country to country, you can access the ThinQ app via previous country account, but the country account is limited to a country where  

          the product was purchased.

          Registering your product with the changed location (country) account will not work. You can only use the previously registered account (USA account).


 

  2.Agent : Did you receive an alert that the newly purchased product has already been registered in a different country?

                  Did you buy the product directly from overseas?


    1)If the product has been purchased recently, and is not purchased directly from overseas


      ▶ Contact your local LG CS center to replace the built-in Wi-Fi module in the product.



     2) If the product has been purchased recently, and bought directly from overseas 


       ▶ You can only register the product with the overseas country account (where the product was purchased directly).



     ※The country account for your product is limited to where you bought the product.
