There is a rubber part (gasket) inside the dryer door that helps it open and close smoothly. During drying, some lint may not be carried to the filter and can remain stuck to the door gasket.

If lint remains on the gasket after drying, do not remove the gasket. Instead, gently wipe the lint away using a wet wipe or a damp towel.
