LG Air Conditioner - (Mobile/Portable) The letters FL is displayed on the screen and the appliance is not operating

Troubleshooting

Title: (Mobile/Portable) "FL" Error Code Displayed – Appliance Not Operating

■ Problem

Error displayed on screen

■ Symptom

Function Code: FL (also applicable: NO, CO, HI, LO, F1~F6, ㄱ, ㄴ, etc.)

■ Cause

The "FL" code on a mobile or portable air conditioner indicates that the condensate water tank is full.

This typically occurs in high-humidity conditions, where the base pan fills up with water. In such cases, the "FL" or “CH04” code will appear on the display.

■ Solution: How to Drain the Condensate Water

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Turn off the appliance and disconnect the power cord from the outlet.

  2. Place a large bucket or container under the drainage nozzle located at the bottom of the unit.

  3. Open the drainage cap and allow all the water to drain completely.

  4. Once the water has fully drained, close the cap securely.

■ Important Safety Precautions

  • Do not tilt the appliance excessively while draining, as this may cause water to overflow.

  • Always empty the water before moving the appliance.
Failure to do so can result in water leakage, leading to electric shock, fire, or property damage.

■ Summary

  - FL (Mobile-Portable Air Conditioner) code indicates that the condensate water is full.

If the appliance operates continuously under the condition of high humidity, the base pan may get filled with water. ( "FL" or   “CH04” code will appear )

Move the appliance(to the bathroom/outdoor area) and drain the condensate water through the drainage nozzle at the bottom of the appliance.
