If the outdoor unit is installed on an enclosed balcony, ensure proper ventilation.

➔ Open ventilation windows or screens.

If the windows remain closed, the temperature inside the enclosed balcony may rise and hot air can flow back into the air conditioner.
It is important to ensure good airflow by opening windows or ventilation screens.

If you have a window screen, put the louvers in horizontal position for improved airflow.

Remove objects surrounding the outdoor unit.

➔ Remove any objects surrounding the outdoor unit to allow proper ventilation.

If objects are stacked near the outdoor unit, the hot air from the unit cannot escape efficiently, and reenters the unit.
This can cause the air conditioner to overwork, resulting in higher electricity bills and reduced cooling performance.
Be sure to remove items from all sides of the outdoor unit for optimal airflow.

The outdoor unit should be level with the ventilation window.

➔ Adjust the outdoor unit so that it is level with the ventilation window.

If the outdoor unit is installed lower than the ventilation window, some of the hot air from the outdoor unit may remain trapped indoors.
Installing a stand to raise the outdoor unit to window level is recommended to improve heat discharge.

The outdoor unit should be close to the ventilation window.

➔ If moving the outdoor unit closer to the window is not feasible, please install an air guide.

A greater distance between the outdoor unit and the ventilation window can reduce ventilation efficiency, causing the unit’s temperature to rise.
Please install an air guide so that the hot air from the outdoor unit can be directed outside.

If your outdoor unit is installed outside, make sure it does not overheat.

Hot outdoor temperatures can cause the unit to overheat.
If the outside temperatures are lower than 18°C or above 48°C, cooling performance may be affected.
If the outdoor unit overheats due to exposure to direct sunlight during summer, the air conditioner may not produce cool air even after being turned on for a long time.
To prevent this, consider installing a sun shade over the outdoor unit.

Caution

When installing a sun shade for the outdoor unit, ensure it is fixed securely to prevent it being blown away.
Do not cover the back or sides of the outdoor unit.

Remove dust from the exterior of the outdoor unit.

If a lot of dust accumulates on the heat exchanger at the back of the outdoor unit, airflow will be restricted.
As a result, the outdoor unit may overheat, leading to reduced cooling performance and possible errors.
If the outdoor unit heat exchanger is full of dust, it is time to clean it. With gloved hands, use a thick bristled cleaning brush to sweep the dust from top to bottom.
Be careful not to injure your hands or bend the pins of the heat exchanger during cleaning.

Make sure the indoor unit filter is not clogged.

The CH61 error code will not automatically clear after inserting clean filters.
To clear the error code, disconnect power to the AC and then restart the unit after 3 minutes.

If there is no power plug, flip the AC breaker switch off and put it back up after 3 minutes.

If the CH61 error occurs repeatedly after power cycling the unit, a professional inspection is necessary. Please request service.
