When Do You Need the TV’s MAC Address?
- You need your TV's MAC address if your router uses MAC address filtering to allow only registered devices to connect.
- You also need it to manually register your TV with an internet modem or other network equipment.
How to Find the MAC Address for Your webOS Version
Step 1. Check Your TV's webOS Version
On your TV remote, press the [Settings] (gear icon) or [Mute] button three times in a row.

- 2023 and later TVs (webOS 23 and later): Press Settings on your remote, then select All Settings, Support, and TV Information. Find the MAC Address for your connection type.
- 2021 and 2022 TVs (webOS 6.0 and webOS 22): Press Settings on your remote, then select All Settings, General, Devices, TV Management, and TV Information. Select your connection type, then find the MAC Address displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- 2020 TVs (webOS 5.0): Press Settings on your remote, then select All Settings, Support, and TV Information. Find the MAC Address for your connection type.
- 2019 TVs (webOS 4.5): Press Settings on your remote, then select All Settings, General, About This TV, and TV Information. Find the MAC Address for your connection type.
