[LG ice water purifier refrigerator] White foreign objects are visible in water and ice from the ice water purifier refrigerator.

Troubleshooting

Do white substances settle out when you freeze or boil water purified by the refrigerator water purifier?

The water purifier in the LG Electronics refrigerators uses a UF (Ultra Filtration) filter.
Purifying water in this way filters out bacteria and harmful substances, while leaving minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
It is different from a water purifier using an RO (reverse osmotic membrane) filter that filters out harmful substances as well as minerals.
When water purified by the water purifier in LG Electronics' refrigerators is boiled or frozen and then melts, white substances are sometimes visible at the bottom.
These are minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which are also contained in spring water or underground water.

Description Minerals such as calcium and magnesium remain intact
