[LG refrigerator sound] The refrigerator is making a noise (pop, popping, click)

Troubleshooting

Do you sometimes hear a “click”, “crack”, or “pop” sound?

➔ Those noises are normal sounds made by plastic parts such as shelves expanding or contracting when the temperature inside the refrigerator changes as the cooling motor (compressor) operates.

At this time, various sounds such as “click”, “crack”, “pop” may be heard from the inside walls and shelves.
The sound may seem louder, especially during quiet hours or late at night.
The sound is generated when internal parts contract and expand due to temperature/pressure but the sound may decrease after a given period of time.
A sound is produced when ice is made and falls into the ice bin. (Only for models with water purifier)
When the ice bin is empty, the sound is made frequently, but this decreases when the ice bin is full. (Only for models with water purifier)
