If your refrigerator is not cold enough, set the temperature between 1°C
and 3°C (34°F and 37°F).
Keep your refrigerator no more than 70%
full to improve cold air circulation. Also, make sure the refrigerator
doors are fully closed.
Why Is Your Refrigerator Not Cold Enough?
-
Your temperature is set too high.
If your display is set to 5°C or 6°C (41°F or 43°F), your refrigerator will not feel cold enough.
-
Poor air circulation.
Overfilling your refrigerator or blocking the air vents in your refrigerator or freezer prevents cold air from circulating properly.
-
Warm air is entering the refrigerator.
If a shelf is installed incorrectly or an item blocks the door from closing completely, warm air enters, which causes condensation and reduces cooling performance.
How to Make the Refrigerator Colder
Step 1. Lower Your Refrigerator Temperature.
Press the Refrigerator Temperature button on your display to set the temperature between 1°C and 3°C (34°F and 37°F).
Step 2. Rearrange Food and Clear the Air Vents.
Move any food blocking the air vents at the back of your refrigerator.
Keep your refrigerator no more than 70% full to maintain proper
airflow. Rearrange food in your freezer to improve cold air
circulation.
Step 3. Check That All Doors Are Fully Closed.
Check that you installed the shelves correctly and that food does not
stick out.
Make sure bottles or other items in the door bins
stand upright, and close the doors firmly.
Step 4. Still Need Help?
If the issue persists after following the steps above, you can get further support through LG Chatbot on our website or by requesting a technician visit.
If you recently installed or repaired your refrigerator, it may take
two to three days to reach the normal operating temperature. This
depends on the amount of food you store inside.
If your display is locked, press and hold the Lock/Unlock button for
three seconds before you adjust the temperature.
