If the washing machine is installed in a place with high humidity (bathroom) or if water penetrates the control panel during use, the buttons and display may malfunction.
Causes and Symptoms
- Some buttons do not operate even though they are touched or some buttons operate even though they are not touched.
- When the power is turned on, the display is lit or some numbers are displayed broken.
Try this
Is the protective film remaining on the control panel?
➔ Remove the protective film.
If the protective film remains, the button may not be pressed due to interference.
Is there moisture inside the control panel?
➔ Keep the installation site dry, and wait until any moisture inside has dried.
The buttons may not be recognized due to the moisture inside.
If the problem still persists when you operate the product a few days later after keeping the installation site dry, or if the buttons are deformed and numbers on the display are displayed abnormally, it should be checked by an LG Electronics service technician.
