If the water doesn't seem to reach the selected temperature during a wash, don't worry—your machine is operating normally.
LG washers are designed to optimize energy efficiency and prevent high electricity bills.
Why the water may not reach the set temperature
Common Reasons
1. Cold Water Supply
If the incoming tap water is colder than average room temperature (around 20–25°C / 68–77°F), the machine naturally requires more time to heat the water.
2. Energy Saving System
To prevent unusually high energy consumption from prolonged heating, your washer features a built-in timer. If heating takes too long,
the machine will automatically proceed to the next phase of the wash cycle to save energy, even if the exact target temperature hasn't been fully reached.
Helpful Tips
1. Rest assured, your washer is operating normally. This is a built-in feature designed to save energy, so you can continue using your machine without any worries.
2. To speed up the wash cycle, make sure the hot water hose is properly connected to a hot water tap and the valve is fully open.
3. Check your cycle options. If your model features a Normal 40°C or Normal 60°C cycle, selecting one of these can help optimize the water temperature.
Caution
* Note: In colder months, the incoming tap water is naturally much colder, which means the machine may take longer than usual to heat the water.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
