The cover may not close if you use a dust bag that is not designed for your model or is not a genuine LG dust bag.

Use a genuine LG dust bag designed for your model.
Install the Dust Bag
➔ Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet.
1. Disconnect the flexible hose from the main body.
Open the cover, release the dust bag hook, and remove the dust bag.
2. Make sure the dust bag is facing the correct direction, then attach it to the dust bag holder with the arrow pointing downward.
3. Secure the dust bag inserted into the holder with the dust bag hook as shown in the image, and then close the cover.
