[LG smart TV monitor] Installation of the smart TV app fails if the LG Service Country Setting is incorrect

Troubleshooting

➔ Set Republic of Korea as the Network Connection or LG Service Country of the smart TV monitor.

※ Before you can install and use various apps for the smart TV monitor, the smart TV must be connected to the Internet.

Try this

WebOS - Check the network connection status of the smart TV monitor.

  • WebOS 22 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [Network] → [Internet Connection].
  • WebOS 4.5 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [Connection].

1. After turning on the TV, press the Settings button on the remote control.

2. From [General], select [Network].

3. From [Internet Connection], select either [Wired Network Connection] or [Wireless Network Connection] depending on your Internet environment.

WebOS - Check if the [LG Service Country] of the smart TV monitor is set correctly.

➔ The country you have set must be listed on [LG Service Country] before you can use the services of the country including premium content or app download services.

  • WebOS 22 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [System] → [Locale] → [LG Service Country].
  • WebOS 4.5 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [Locale] → [LG Service Country].

If you still cannot install the app after you have done the above, reset the settings of the smart TV monitor.

➔ Resetting the smart TV monitor will delete the account settings and the installed apps altogether.

  • WebOS 22 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [System] → [Reset to Initial Settings].
  • WebOS 4.5 - The [ settings ] Settings button on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [Reset to Initial Settings].
