[LG Air Conditioner Louver] Even if I powered it off, the louver is not completely closed

Troubleshooting

It might be a temporary effect due to pressing while you manually control or clean the louvers with hands.

Causes and Symptoms

  • Auto drying is activated.
  • Touched the louver manually.

Is the auto drying function activated?

While the auto drying function is activated, if you turn off the power during cooling operation, then cooling will be stopped
and internal drying operation will run for 5 to 15 minutes while the louver is slightly opened.
Once the auto drying is completed, the louver will be closed and the system will be automatically turned off.
The auto drying function is used to remote internal moisture of the air conditioner and you can press the [Auto Drying] button on the remote controller to activate or deactivate it.

➔ Use the remote controller to turn on and off the air conditioner.

After the air conditioner is turned off, if the louvers are not closed or some of them are not fully closed,
then use the remote controller to turn it on and after one minute, turn it off again to revert them to the original positions.
It might be a temporary effect due to pressing while you manually control or clean the louvers with hands.
If the problem persists afterward, then have it inspected by a professional service manager.
