Causes and Symptoms
- The remote control batteries are discharged.
- The circuit breaker has tripped.
- This remote control is not the one that was provided at the time of purchasing the product.
- A three-wavelength fluorescent lamp has failed.

Is the remote control display turned off?
➔ Replace the batteries.
If the remote control display is turned off even if you press the Run button, replace the batteries, and if the display does not turn on or the screen turns on and off after replacing the batteries, replace the remote control as it is a remote control failure.
If the remote control display is normal, check the remote control using your cell phone.
You can check for remote control failure using the camera function of your cell phone.
(Some models including iPhone are not supported)
If the light flashes when you press a button on the remote control towards the cell phone camera, the remote
control is normal and the air conditioner body should be inspected.
Has the circuit breaker for the air conditioner tripped?
➔ Find and reset the circuit breaker.
[Air conditioner] or [A/C] is indicated on the circuit breaker.
If the circuit breaker for the air conditioner has tripped, the remote control does not respond even if you
press a button.
Is that remote control the one that you received at the time of purchasing the product?
The power and temperature control on the remote control are available for common use, but your remote
control is not manufactured by LG Electronics or is a remote control for another product, and it may not be
compatible or some functions may not be available.
If a ringing signal sound is not heard from the main body when you press a button on the remote control,
this function is not available in the relevant model.
ex) left/right wind, up/down wind, dust status, amount of power, heating, heater, Reservation button, etc.
Check for three-wavelength fluorescent lamp failure.
If the remote control works well after testing it after turning off the three-wavelength fluorescent lamp, it may be a three-wavelength fluorescent lamp failure.
* If the remote control is not used for a long period of time with the batteries inserted, battery fluid may leak and cause a remote control failure.
