Did the remaining drying time decrease faster than expected?
Are your
clothes still damp when the cycle finishes?
Causes and Symptoms
- The dryer was run with a small load of laundry.
- The Dry Level was set to low.
Let's find out more.
The dryer automatically adjusts the drying time by detecting the
moisture in the laundry that comes into contact with the moisture
sensor.
If you run the dryer with a very small load, for example, fewer than 10 towels, the humidity sensor may
detect the drum as empty, and end the cycle after about 10 minutes.
Try this.
Did you run the dryer with too few items?
➔ Fill the drum about halfway.
If you want to dry a small load, use
the Time Dry cycle.
If you run a normal drying cycle with a small load, the laundry may not touch the humidity sensor, resulting in the cycle to end prematurely.
If that happens, put the damp laundry back in the dryer, select Time Dry,
set the desired drying time, and restart the dryer.
Did you set the Dry Level to Low on the Normal or Shirts cycle?
➔ If you want to dry the laundry further, run the Time Dry cycle again.
Setting the Dry Level to Low makes the laundry less dry, and does not change the
drying temperature.
The cycle ends with enough moisture remaining in the clothes for ironing
without needing to spray water.
If you want to dry the laundry further, select Time Dry, add more drying
time, and restart the dryer.
