Do you smell a sewer odor around the dishwasher?
Does the odor not disappear even after you cleaned the inside of the dishwasher?
Causes and Symptom
- The drain hose is not properly installed.
The dishwasher drain hose is connected to the sewer.
To prevent the odor of the sewer from being smelt, the drain hose is installed to so that it holds some water at the beginning of the hose.
If the drain hose is installed below half of the height of the machine, no water will be held inside and thus an odor may be emitted.
Try this
Is the height difference of the drain hose connected to your dishwasher not 70cm or greater?
If the drain hose connection has a gentle slope, then water may be drained to the sewer.
If the height difference from top to bottom of the drain hose is less than 70cm, then you need to adjust the hose location to make it at least 70cm.
If you can’t do it yourself, call a service technician.
In addition, this might be caused by an abnormality in the sewer itself.
If the odor persists after you have done the above, contact the related maintenance office or a plumbing service.
