[LG Dishwasher] Detergent Remains in the Dispenser

Troubleshooting

Let's find out more.

This can occur if too much detergent is used or if moisture causes the detergent to harden in the dispenser.
Since detergent is in powder form, it can clump together if left in a humid environment for too long, and these clumps may remain after operation. Old detergent may not perform as expected.
Additionally, placing large dishes in the front of the lower rack can prevent the detergent dispenser lid from opening.

Try this.

Arrange large dishes towards the back (inside) and refer to the user manual to add the appropriate amount of detergent.

➔ Using the correct amount of detergent ensures optimal cleaning performance.

1. Add the appropriate amount of detergent for one wash into the detergent dispenser inside the lid and close it completely until you hear a 'click'.

Below are the minimum detergent amounts required for each cycle.

The amount of detergent used may vary depending on the level of soiling on the dishes. Add 5-10g more detergent based on the soiling level. (Excluding the Sterilization Drying cycle)

Adding Detergent to the Dispenser
※ During energy performance tests, the standard detergent and amount specified in the 'Regulations on the Operation of Efficiency Grade Equipment' are used.

2. The detergent is automatically dispensed during the wash cycle.

3. Press the lever to open the lid.

4. If you start a wash without adding detergent, turn off the power, add detergent, and start again from the beginning.

5. If the detergent lid does not close immediately, wait about 2 minutes before closing it. (This is not a malfunction.)

Note!

Always use the correct amount of detergent.
Remove any water inside the detergent dispenser before adding detergent.
Do not add detergent when using the Sterilization Drying cycle.
Do not add detergent for the Quick cycle.
The Quick cycle does not include a rinse, so detergent may remain.
