How to set the IP address for a wired or wireless Connection
Step 1. Set the IP address in Windows Settings (Recommended for Windows 10 and 11)
1) Right-click the [Network] icon (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) on the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen, then click [Network & internet settings].
2) When the Settings window opens, click [Wi-Fi] or [Ethernet], depending on the connection you want to configure.
3) Click [Edit] next to [IP assignment].
4) Select [Automatic (DHCP)] or [Manual], depending on your network environment.
5) If you select [Manual] for a static IP address, turn [IPv4] [On]. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway provided by your network administrator, then click [Save].

1) In the search box on the taskbar, search for and open [Control Panel], then click [Network and Sharing Center].
2) From the left menu, click [Change adapter settings].
3) Right-click the connected network icon (such as [Ethernet] or [Wi-Fi]), then click [Properties].
4) From the list, click [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)], then click [Properties].
5) Select [Obtain an IP address automatically], or select [Use the following IP address] and enter the required IP address information manually. Then click [OK].
