Please note
- If the lock is enabled, press and hold the [Lock/Unlock] button for 3 seconds to unlock it before adjusting the temperature.
- For optimal cooling and proper air circulation, we recommend filling the refrigerator to about 70% of its total capacity.
How do I check if my refrigerator temperature is normal?
Follow the steps below to check whether your refrigerator is cooling properly.
- Touch and smell check: If storage containers feel cold to the touch and there is no strong food smell when you open the door, your refrigerator is working normally.
- Condensation check: During the summer, if condensation forms on containers when warm air enters after opening the door, this is normal.
What to do if my refrigerator is not cooling
Step 1. Lower the temperature setting
If the temperature is set too high (around 5–6°C / 41–43°F), your
refrigerator may not cool properly.
Press the [Refrigerator Temperature] button on the display and set it
between 1–3°C / 34–37°F.
Step 2. Rearrange food and clear the air vents
If the refrigerator is overfilled or the air vents are blocked, cold air cannot circulate properly.
- Remove any items blocking the air vents inside the refrigerator.
-
Also organize items in the freezer. (In most refrigerators, cold air
is generated in the freezer and flows into the refrigerator.
If airflow in the freezer is restricted, your refrigerator may not cool properly.)
Step 3. Make sure the doors are fully closed
If a door is slightly open, warm outside air can enter, and your refrigerator may not cool properly.
- Reinstall shelves correctly and push food items back if they are sticking out.
- Make sure bottles in the door bins are standing upright and not preventing the door from closing.
-
If the freezer door is left open, heavy frost can form and block
airflow, preventing your refrigerator from cooling properly.
Make sure the freezer door is fully closed as well.
Step 4. Wait if your refrigerator was recently installed or serviced
If the refrigerator was just installed or recently serviced, it may
take some time to return to normal cooling performance.
Depending on the amount of food stored, it may take 2–3 days for the
temperature to stabilize
