If the Time Machine function does not start recording on a WebOS TV, please check the following:

The size of the connected Hard Disk is more than 40 Giga-Byte

At least 20 Giga-Byte of free space

The disk has NTFS file system
-
TV input is set to Tuner
-
Broadcaster allows recording (of the current program)
