Rated 5 out of 5 Great for any computer When it comes to read/write drives there isn't much that can go wrong. You can pretty much get whatever you want and it is going to suffice. I chose this one due to a recommendation and have no problems with it so I consider it a good investment. May 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice DVD RW/CD-RW Drive The LG DVD RW/CD-RW Drive was easy to install, and came with the SATA cable needed to connect it to the motherboard. May 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good drive, but loud and never sits idle. Bought this drive for my Mac Pro that I bought 2nd hand with no optical drive. Install was a snap; just pull off the faceplate for the drive, pull out the drive carrier, 4 screws in, connect the SATA cable, and done! No drivers were required for OS X and this thing is FAST. The only issue I have had since then is with the drive randomly turning on. The gears moves, it wirrs, the LED comes on, and it's annoying. It only lasts for a few moments, then stops but keeps happening. May 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Records movies, etc for DVD's well My last DVD-RW died, and this one is to replace it. It is doing very well for what I need May 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product. Good product, easy to install. compatible with my tower. May 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by problem free purchased this drive for a HTPC install and it's worked well, The drive is quiet and is reading discs and burning without any issues. I should have done a price match with other online resellers as I could have purchased this for $20 less. May 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Did the job for twice the price. So I payed double what I could have gotten this thing for on Amazon, but I wanted it right away. May 2, 2014

In most cases, Windows has the drivers installed. If not, go to the manufacturers web site and find there.

We regret the difficulty you have experienced with this drive. The majority of our drives are designed as Plug and Play devices. As such, once the drive has been installed in the computer, allow your Operating System to provide the drivers required to run the unit. The LightScribe system software can be obtained from http://www.lightscribe.com. If you have additional questions about this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Thank you for your question. You will need to check your software that you are using to write your DVD's. This is not an LG issue.

Thank you for your question. You will need to read up on the software of the program you are using to burn the mp3's. This is not a question that LG can answer for you.
