What People Are Saying

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the purchase One of the largest capacity dryers available. Able to dry our comforters in one cycle. Very quiet. If your in the market for a new gas dryer this is the one. Have a look you won't be disappointed. We love it. July 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Steam Errors Every time I use the steam, I get an error and it shuts down. Repairman sent out under warranty said that it is a known issue with no solution. I have to use a work-around to bypass the error which requires me to push a button 3 times to get it to keep going. I would appreciate it if LG would correct the problem and provide a permanent solution for customers vs the work-around. Otherwise, the machine is good. The error is inconvenient. June 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet, Drys quickly and Love the Steam Feature This dryer is beautiful and the clothes come out looking very nice. The steam feature is wonderful for that wrinkled shirt that just needs a minute in the dryer for a crisp look. It drys large loads much quicker than my last front loader. It has many different drying options but the one I have yet to find is the "wrinkle guard" where it will tumble the clothes every 2 to 3 minutes to keep them from wrinkling once the drying is complete. My last dryer had this and it would toss them every few minutes until you could get in there to unload it. However, the Steamer would fix the problem if they did happen to wrinkle. I love this dryer, very pleased with my purchase. March 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Huge capacity. Dryer is so quiet. I don't have to close the door on the laundry room now. They need to improve the music at the end of the cycle. It should be loud enough to be heard across the room. Since the dryer is quiet, I can no longer tell if it's done or not. Also the selections they have do not completely do the job. Like if I select the towel setting, I still need to run the dryer about 10 minutes more after the cycle because the towels are still a bit wet to the touch. Overall the dryer is a good one. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice But... Had the dryer two weeks. It is already squeaking after it gets hot. A high pitched rubbing type of squeak. Makes me wonder about durability. Huge capacity. Best feature is being able to change which side the door hinges are on. Had to change ours from right side to left. Easy enough to do, but should have two people to do it. One to hold door other to screw the hinges in or out. Easy to use controls. Lots of options. Low temp works very well. Doesn't shrink clothes like our old dryer did. Use time dry for Sportswear cycle if you are drying two or three polyester wicking type sports items. (Tee shirt, compression shorts & shorts.) The dampness sensor will stop the machine after only a few minutes and the clothes will sit there damp. Lint screen seems very durable & easy to clean. Chime to signal end of cycle isn't loud enough. Gas jet is pretty loud. Old dryer it was silent, but this is very noticeable when it is firing. Doesn't really get out the wrinkles in cotton clothes put in by the matching washer. It's a good dryer, but not great. February 13, 2014

We appreciate your interest in this dryer. Most of our dryers run between 20,000 and 22,000 BTUh, depending upon the model, energy rating, etc. The specific rating will be listed on the model/serial number label on the unit itself.

I was told LG makes a dryer with a blower that is designed for a long venting system (about 28 feet). However, I can not find that information under any of the specifications. Could you direct me as to which dryers would meet my requirements? Thank you!
