What People Are Saying

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gets washer and dryer to a convenient height The pedestals do match the appliances very well in finish and style. I think the washer may shake a little more due to the added height, but this has caused no problems. I did make sure the machine is level, and the pedestal does seem sturdy. Of course, the extra storage is nice, but perhaps the best thing is it makes the washing machine maintenance of cleaning the filter and draining the water much easier. May 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Convenient! I was hesitant to purchase the drawer unit at first but decided I didn't want to bend over more than necessary when handling the clothes. I was also concerned with the washer's stability when using the stand until I was convinced by the salesman that it wasn't a problem. He was correct! This stand is a very sturdy platform that's well made. I am extremely happy with it. The only real issue is that some of your standard containers do not fit standing up because the unit isn't tall enough! I'm over 6 feet and wouldn't mind if they made these stands a few extra inches taller! April 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Nice Bought this stand for my LG dryer. It's very sturdy, made well, ample storage and perfect height. I didn't give 5 stars for price. I really don't think this should be more than $120.00. BUT I needed it and just went with it. Overall, it's a good product, just expensive. April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The good and the bad I purchased pedestals for my washer and dryer. I purchased them for two reasons: One was to raise the height and reduce the need to bend since the doors on the machines are pretty low otherwise. Two was to be able to store my laundry chemicals in them. The door height for me with the pedestals is perfect. However, I am unable to fit even the standard size detergent bottles in the drawers. I gave these pedestals a low score for value because, for the price of them, all they are doing is raising the height of the washer and dryer. The only thing I currently store in them are extra cloths to wipe the water that remains on the gasket at the end of the wash cycle. March 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Convenient Storage Since this pedestal is taller than my previously installed pedestal it will hold all of the washing and drying products needed for efficient washing or drying without storing those products elsewhere. The extra space is extremely convenient. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not as much bending down. My wife loves the pedestals because she is not bending down near as much when doing the laundry. She wishes the inside height of the drawer was a little higher for the new bottle sizes of the tap/bottle laundry detergents and fabric softeners that are in use now that don't fit in the drawers. So the drawers are used for holding laundry instead. March 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks Nice Gives me extra room to set the detergents and keep the away from the kids. January 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product is excellent for us older generation. Excellent for raising the washer and dryer up to level that the older generation can easily access the appliance. One improvement could be printing a caution inside the drawer warning of the maximum weight the drawer can support since it isn't listed on the web page or in the literature. We also have other LG products (stove, fridge & microwave) that are six years old. Product quality, performance, and customer support has been excellent. December 21, 2013

Answer:
LG recommends not putting a stacked washer and dryer on top of a pedestal. In theory it would work, but I wonder if the pedestal isn't rated to handle that much weight.

Here's what the LG website says in their Q&A section:

"Please EITHER stack an LG Dryer on top of an LG Washer OR put your LG Washer and your LG Dryer on two separate LG Pedestals. It is NOT recommended to stack an LG Dryer on top of an LG Washer which sits on top of an LG Pedestal."

Answer:
The WM2010cw is a 27" wide model, so it should work with the WDP4x (where X is R for red or W for white) pedestals. The actual pedestal model recommended for that washing machine is WDP3W so I'm not sure what the difference is and if the WDP4W would actually work or not.

The WDP3W isn't available though, so while the WDP4W probably works since it's for all LG 27" units, be prepared to return it if it didn't quite fit after all.

Answer:
LG says these pedestals should work with any of their 27" units with controls on the front (front loading washer, and dryers).

The compact electric dryer might only be 24" so this wouldn't fit in that case. Check the width of your LG dryer and see if it's 27" wide or not.
