What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't wait for 4K Content I just purchased the LG 55" OLED TV and it is awesome. I upgraded from an older Toshiba 34" tube type HD TV which had a great screen. I looked at many 4K models before deciding on the OLED. The picture is 4K quality from 1080p content. The colors are more natural on this TV - not bright and shiny like on most others. The curved screen allows for viewing at different angles. You don't need to be directly in front of the screen to see it clearly. I looked and did research for 6 months before pulling the trigger on the OLED. You won't be sorry you purchased one of these babies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Picture Ever! Three weeks in and I am still in awe of this television. Blows my Sony XBR850B out of the water and he Sony is a 4k tv. The 3D is far better on the EC9300 as well. The OS is still slow even with the 2.0 upgrade - but for picture quality and the amount of picture adjustments you can make - I still say its the best picture ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreal picture Picture quality is so good that it looks like 3 D without even using the 3D feature and movies. Never seen a TV like this. Also, no point in buying 4k technology when there is hardly any programing. The picture quality of this TV is unbelievable. Cannot be happy enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything it says it is This is a great TV. I love the picture and I've watched a few 3D programs with no complaints. All in all this TV is well worth the price and I would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally better than Plasma Picture quality is outstanding. Nothing like OLED. Better than plasma and I was a die hard. Web performance is poor but who buys a TV to surf the web?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV with some issues I love my OLED TV. The picture quality is awesome. However, I purchased a smart tv because I wanted the access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc videos. LG is no longer supporting the Amazon Prime app and so in order to watch any of these videos I have to purchase an addition device. This is unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deepest Black Having owned a plasma tv in the past I wasn't sure how this LG would compare. Having owned this LG for about two weeks it beat my plasma in every way. From the deepest blacks to very crisp colors this is the best I have ever seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome TV Pricing is still a little high for the size, but picture quality is awesome!

I was told this model number 55EC9300 is being discontinued and the new model number is  55EC9100. Is this correct info? Jake

Asked by: Jdc2673
There haven't been any announcements from LG that the LG 55" Class (54.6" Diagonal) 1080P Smart 3D Curved OLED TV with webOS, Model # 55EC9300 is being discontinued nor that it will be replaced by the LG 55EG9100. The only announcement made in a Press Release in Seoul on 08/26/2015 was that LG would be doubling its Global OLED TV Offerings in 2015 and the expanded lineup was to feature the World’s First HDR Capable 4K OLED TV at IFA 2015 and that it would also be unveiling the 55EG9200 and 55EG9100 that measure an incredibly slim 4.8mm...^IFV

web os 2.0 firmware update?

There is a newer version of the firmware (4.65.50) just released on the Hong Kong LG website. Can I apply to the US model?
Asked by: a25105
It is not recommended to attempt to utilize any firmware updates that are released in other countries. These are not guaranteed for compatibility with software in the United States. When firmware updates are released in the US, they will either be sent directly to the television of the network connection, or will be posted directly to our website.

Can I use a blue tooth speaker?

I want to hear the sound in the house via my surround system and at the same time outside through my blue tooth speaker
Asked by: HandyMac
I apologize, but no; this television has not been designed to send an audio signal through multiple channels simultaneously. When the internal speakers are active, it will not be possible to transmit the audio through an external audio system. This TV does not appear to have the capability for connecting to a Bluetooth Speaker System.

Why doesn't my TV support FLASH?

Asked by: DryHeat
We regret your dissatisfaction in this television and its features. This TV model has not been designed for compatibility with full versions of the Adobe Flash Player. Those TVs which are designed with a version of Flash Player utilize a Mobile version. The internal memory of the TV cannot support a full version of the Flash Player. Unfortunately, Adobe no longer supports, nor provides, mobile versions of a Flash Player. As such, it is not possible to provide an updated Flash Player version.

Will I be able to connect this to my receiver?

I have an older Maranz receiver and would like to connect this tv to it in order to utilize my surround sound speakers. I also just bought a blu-ray machine and would like to hook this up as well.
Asked by: Jeanmarieclub
I don't know about your receiver but I had my TV hooked up to my receiver with a new LG 3D DVD player. The only thing is that I just had my TV calibrated and it looks great. The problem is if I get a new receiver Im told that I would need to calibrate again
