What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It still has 3d and a more natural picture. this still has 3d. 3d should be a standard feature on a high end tv. This is why the next series for 2017 was a no go. I wanted to wait for that series. But they removed 3d. I urge lg to put it back on. Millions of people have 3d blu rays after all. And weekly 3d movies come out. why be a follower instead of a leader . KEEP 3d. This model also has true vision and picture on glass. The new model may be more bright but that's NOT why you want a oled. Any led can be bright. But a good oled looked natural. and the 3d is great. passive. It's a sad day when a leader falls behind. But with this model you are still ahead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this great purchase!! I'm old school, so for me to breakdown and make this purchase, require several Trips and researching. But once I made the purchase and after the flawless sit up using the on screen instructions. It was a breeze, and the picture reception is outstanding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manufactures defect Stationary logos permanently imprint on the screen, manufacturer new about the defect and sold them anyway, then fixed the problem on the newer version, guess what no warrantee for the consumer who bought the older version

Will the stand for this OLED, the 65EG9600, fit my OLED 55EG9100? May seem like an odd question yet it is important to me.

Asked by: Lpatrick
I apologize, but no; the physical design of these 2 stands are quite different. The widths are different, and the 65EG9600 uses a stand with at least 6 screw holes on 4 posts whereas the 55EG9100 stand has 4 screw holes on 2 posts. These will not be compatible.

I recently purchased 65eg9600-ub. The TV does detect the HDR signal through hdmi and says hdr is now on, but the picture the pictures looks as if gets dim. When I exit the HDR context, the picture gets brighter and back to my original settings. Why?

Asked by: Rymnd
We appreciate your interest in this television and its features. The HDR content is designed to provide richer tones to those colors on the screen. In getting deeper, some of those colors can appear darker than before. This is not uncommon.

Watching sports, my 65EG9600 doesn't display the text placed in the corners for scores and other stats. When I try different settings in aspect ratio, the display remains the same in all selections except 4:3. What am I missing?

Is there an update to be able to watch external HDR content by hdmi, If not at this time is there any future plans for update?

Asked by: jacbjsg
Update to my previous post: My 65EG9600-UB had the mother board replace again, and now that it has the proper mother board, I am able to get HDR through HDMI. If the people from LG say that there is no difference between those two models, they are lying.

I have the tv model lg oled 55eg9600-ub and it says hdr not supported and i saw a comment in here saying that this model does support hdr thru hdmi how do i turn this on ??? Or it doesn't have hdr support

Asked by: Garcias888
We appreciate your interest in this television and its features. The HDR support is available through the PICTURE menu on the TV. Scroll to the bottom of the PICTURE menu to access the HDMI ULTRA HD DEEP COLOR feature. Setting this option to ON for each of the HDMI ports will activate the TV’s HDR10 compatibility. Once this is done, HDR will be activated any time a HDR10 signal is received. For additional information, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
