Hi Thanks for answering my previous question. I really like the E8. My question is whats the difference between the E7 and G7. The G7 is a signature model but whats better about it?

Asked by: jrivera83
All our 2017 OLED TVs have the same picture quality. The differences between the series will be in their designs. The LG SIGNATURE OLED TV G - 4K HDR Smart TV G7P series is offered in a 77" and 65" screen and features LG's Picture-on-Glass design that places the incomparably thin, flexible, lightweight OLED panel against a simple pane of glass for a sleek design that's simple, and sculptural. It also features a 60 W 4.2 Channel Audio System. Keep in mind that all the E7P, and G7P series OLEDs are 2017 models that are different from the 2018 models...^IFV

What is the refresh rate? How many hertz? Why is it thta you guys arent listing this vital piece of information on all of the oleds

Asked by: jrivera83
Refresh rate is something that applies to LED LCD/LCD TVs which is why it is not listed for OLED TVs. The LG E8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65E8PUA and all our OLEDs have a native 120 Hz panel. That is not the same thing as 120 Hz refresh rate. Motion Blur is a well-known issue with LCDs. It arises because the liquid crystal, which is the active element within an LCD, is unable to change its orientation and transmission rapidly enough when the picture changes from one frame to the next. OLEDs, as solid-state emissive devices, are incredibly fast as each pixel can, theoretically, change color tone in less than 0.01 ms, much faster than any LCD panel today...^IFV

OLED 55 E8. I plan on using the stand. Questions: 1) Does the glass panel sit on the shelf or support surface all the way across or does it stop above with the support stand in the middle bearing the weight? 2) What is the width of the support stand?

Asked by: CharlieX
The stand base on the LG E8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # OLED55E8PUA bears the weight of the panel. The panel does not sit on the "support surface". Please contact our Support Center at (800) 243-0000 for the dimensions for the stand base...^IFV

Where can I see the product offline?

Asked by: Serendipiteee
Hi Serendipiteee. On its product information page on our site,, There is a "Where to Buy" link that you can click to open a page on which you can enter your zip code to get a list of retailers within a 50-mile radius of your zip code who will be carrying the LG E8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65E8PUA. There will be a link to each listed retailer and a telephone number and you can contact them to inquire if they have this model on their showroom floor. If Best Buy is carrying it, as a premium TV, they will probably have it in the stores that have a Magnolia section in them...^IFV

What does 'Picture-On-Wall' mean? Does it mean that a picture can be left on the screen to look like a picture hung on the wall?

Asked by: Jimmy Rocket
The LG E8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # OLED55E8PUA is not a "Picture-On-Wall" design. It is a "Glass Design". Our LG SIGNATURE OLED TVs, like the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV W8 - 4K HDR Smart TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65W8PUA, that have the "Wallpaper TV Design" hyperrealistically hug the wall, hence they are described as "picture-on-wall" designs and at less than one-fifth on an inch thick, the semi-flexible screens attach to the wall with a hook, like a painting. Magnetic strips on each of the four corners hold the screens flush against the wall...^IFV

Hi LG, Cost set aside, what TV has the sharper picture the OLED or LCD?? - I have heard that the OLED has a slightly softer picture. Thank you, Videonut

Asked by: Videonut
I think what you are refering to is static resolution and it might be that lcd televisions are superior in that respect. However, tv's generally show moving images and then oled is far superior to lcd technology in so called motion resolution tests (like plasma was before oled came to market). If you can afford oled, don't even bother checking out lcd unless you want to watch tv in a very bright room or even outside, because that is about the only area where lcd is still superior: maximum brightness.

Is it 3d like my current e6 oled?

Asked by: Lukeafs
LG was one of the last two companies to stop manufacturing 3D TVs in 2016 with select 2016 OLED TVs and select 2016 Super UHD 4K HDR LED TVs being the last TVs that supported 3D. Neither the LG E8PUA 4K HDR Smart AI OLED TV w/ ThinQ - 65" Class (64.5" Diag), Model # OLED65E8PUA nor any of our 2018 OLED lineup or any other LG TVs support 3D...^IFV
