What People Are Saying

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 93 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best washing machine I have ever owned I can't believe how much less water we are using!! Clothes are nice and clean and lots of choices of settings. QUIET!!! VERY QUIET!!! and ours is stacked in a hall closet in an apartment. Even the "Finish" music is calm and quiet sound. I was worried about the smell that I have heard others talk about but found that there is a little button that lets you shut the door but keeps it slightly open. I have had no problems with it at all! Very pleased!! August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 awesome My fiance and I just bought our first home. It had all the appliances except for the refrigerator and washer & dryer. I was hesitant on spending so much after just purchasing a home but it was definitely the right choice! I love how it sings to me when my load is done :) August 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy to use; works very well. Had to get used to less water but love that you can add more with the Water Plus button. Numberous choices in cycles, especially Hand Wash/Wool are great. Glad I bought the pedestal; perfect height. Will buy the matching dryer. Like all front loaders, price a little high. August 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Removed Stubborn, Set in stains The allergene cycle removed stains from linens that had set in and failed to be removed by my previous washer after 8 washes. Impressive to say the least! July 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product We were long over due for a new machine. I did lots of research and found a good deal at my local home improvement store. You do need to drain the wash basin every two weeks. This is super simple. It takes me about two minutes. I haven't noticed any leaks or bad odors. Very happy with my LG. July 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Need to konw a few things about front loading wash Machines are flawed in two ways & hopefully this will help you avoid my issues. One: use powder detergent Two: leave door open to dry out the washer If you use liquid or pods your clothes will smell stale as these machines are horrible of getting your desired traits of a washer. The powder detergent & making sure you leave the door open for water to evaporate should help in this problem. I recommend a top loading washer. July 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product with unique options! This is the best washing machine I've ever had. It is user friendly, beautiful to look at, and best of all, it cleans our clothes better than any washer we've ever had. I was going to buy a new dog bed for our dog because it just didn't seem to be coming clean any more. I took one final step before doing so. I washed it on the Allergen setting. It came out like new....no residue smell of dog or dander. I had been a loyal customer of another brand, but after a bad experience with our last washing machine (our 3rd), I asked the repair man which brand he owned and which he had seen as having the fewest repairs and problems over his many years of repair work. He recommended LG. He certainly steered us in the right direction! July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Happy We are very happy with our LG washer! It cleans very well and doesn't leave my clothes in a giant tangled up mess like other washers. I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to purchase LG products. I also love that it does not scream at you when it is finished. It plays a nice song that is pleasant. August 4, 2014

Answer:
I had this problem with my first front loader. Solution was to leave the door and dispenser open after the cycle ends. I continue to do this with my new front loader although after a day or 2 I partially close the door and slide the dispenser in half way.

Answer:
I use a product called Afresh to clean this washer about once a month. I keep the door cracked open and pull open, just a little bit, the detergent drawer to keep the washer dried out. It also wouldn't hurt to wipe down the clear plastic part of the door if you live in a real humid climate. I have had the mold problem with another front load I owned, but so far so good with this one as long as I take a moment to care for it at the end of my wash.

Answer:
After wash cycles, leave the door open. Wipe off the interior glass door and rubber seal and you will not have mold problems.

Answer:
I am not aware of any issues with mold growing in these machines. Mold growing is usually do to the owner not using the machine correctly. If you take out the washing and close the door while there is still water residue, you are virtually begging for mold to grow. Leave the door slightly open and presto the mold issue becomes moot

Answer:
Front load washers, from all manufacturers, require regular maintenance to maintain optimum performance. If this maintenance is not followed, residue can accumulate in the drum. Performance of proper maintenance, such as the use of the TUB CLEAN cycle is known to reduce or eliminate this occurrence.

Bill, thank you for your interest in the LG - SteamWasher 4.0 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle Ultralarge-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer, model # WM3250HVA. Yes you can add more water to the wash and rinse cycles. There are specific instructions on how this can be done in the owner's manual on page 26. Try this link...http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-WM3250HVA# and then download the user manual or if you do not want to download it, visit the Home Depot site and navigate to the washer dryer page, select LG washers and on the second page of the LG selections, scroll halfway down to find the model, click on that and the then click on use and care manual and that will bring the manual up for you to read the instructions on how to add water during those cycles...

LG WM3250HVA

Prior to purchasing this washer, I read in the specifications that the machine has the "add a garment" feature. I just recently installed this appliance but am unable to find anywhere in your literature or on the machine itself, how to operate this feature. Please advise.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. It is uncertain where this ADD A GARMENT mode may have been mentioned on this model. In reviewing the Owner’s Manual, Specifications Sheet and website, no such function has been located. It may be possible to add an item by simply pressing the PAUSE button to temporarily suspend the cycle while adding an item. Be aware, however, that one may find additional water being added to the cycle due to the weight of any wet clothes after the Pause. If there are any additional questions in this matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

i put my clothes to wash around 7:00 pm and around 10:00 pm i noticed that it was still washing and had been stuck on 8 minutes for a while. I tried to open the door to stop it from washing, but i wouldnt open so i turned off the machine to try and reopen the door, it still wouldnt it. So i turned off the whole power, got the door open and all my clothes were soaked. when i emptied the machine, there was still water inside and it read FE. What do i do?
