Lagos, May7, 2011 - In its resolve to demonstrate the paradigm of ‘Consumer is King’ and lay emphasis on his importance as an integral part of a business, LG Electronics, global leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications introduced into the Nigerian market the latest innovation in the quality and manner of after sales service delivery.
This latest redefinition of after sales services came in form of a mobile service bus known as the “LG Care & Delight Bus”, which would change the normal service centre concept and save customers efforts and time while rendering credible and convenient after sales service. This novel initiative by LG Electronics is conceived to berth a new experience in customer servicing for its Nigerian consumers. As against the norm of having customers seeking places of convenience for after sales services, the Care & Delight bus would reach customers at strategic touch points to provide answers to their electronics and house hold appliance challenges with a view to solving them conveniently. Worthy of note is the fact that the Care & Delight Bus would render these services pan Nigerian, to make the experience worth the while for them irrespective of their locations.
The LG Care & Delight Bus is equipped with all spare parts and necessary tools to speed up performance in repairs and provide highly credible services, in line with LG’s idea of making all its products safe for the environment and consumers. It is specially designed to be environmentally friendly as it runs on electricity generated from LG solar cell battery system placed at the roof top of the bus. Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of LG Electronics, West African Operations, Mr. Jaeyoung Lee said, "LG's commitment to meeting the customers’ needs expands to exceed their expectations, since maintaining the customers' satisfaction is our rewarding priority. The Care and Delight Bus is LG's innovation and a way to reward our customers for their unbounded faith and trust in us".
Speaking further, he said that the introduction of the LG Care & Delight Bus was also to show that LG Electronics’ business is about people and that the company is committed to leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the customers are delighted using LG products. Mr. Lee also noted that LG Care and Delight Bus is not only a moving service center, dealers and retailers as well can take advantage of it as a sales promotion and support tool.
Also present at the event was Mr. Adebayo Adegun, Head of Enforcement, Standard Organisation of Nigeria, who commended LG Electronics for being the first to initiate such a novel and innovative idea adding that this step will indeed redefine customer servicing to Nigerians.
Mr. Hakeem Adeniji, Director of Commerce, Lagos State Ministry of Commerce & Industry, also noted that not many companies in Nigeria will embark on this kind of idea that seeks convenience for its customers. He therefore urged other companies to be more consumer centric and showered accolades on LG for taking the lead in this direction noting that the act is a true hallmark of a market leader.
