[LG dryer installation] [Wash Tower] I want to know how to install/disassemble the product when I move

Troubleshooting

Product installation and disassembly should be done by a professional LG Electronics service technician.
The installation and disassembly methods shown below are simply information designed to help customers understand the process.

Preparations for washing machine installation

Moving the washing machine within the house
1. The product must be moved by a group of two. When using a cart, be sure to lay a heavy floor protection mat to protect the floor.
2. Move the product only to the front of the final installation site.
※ You need to prepare a free space for installing the dryer and the stack.

Install the roller stack guide.
1. Install the roller stack guide to the upper panel frame of the washing machine.
2. Ensure that the display cable of the washing machine is fixed on the panel frame.

Wait! Here are more tips
The roller stack guide is a piece of equipment that is provided to the shop’s service technician.
Failure to use of the roller stack guide may cause injury or product damage.
When you install the main roller stack guide, be careful not to compress the power connection cable of the washing machine and not damage the surface of the cable.

Preparations for dryer installation

Remove all four leveling legs from the dryer.
If the leveling legs are not removed, you cannot stack and fix it on the washing machine. Ensure that they are removed.
※ Note that all screws are fastened by turning clockwise, and loosened by turning anticlockwise, except the screws for the rotating body.

Warning!
  • Always work in groups of two.
  • Be careful to avoid having your hand caught in the bottom of the dryer.
  • Be careful to avoid injury when you remove the leveling legs.
  • Be careful to avoid scratching or damaging the surface of the product.
  • Use of a tool such as pliers may damage the product. Use it for the first half turn to loosen the legs and then use your hands to complete the removal.

Stacking

Install the dryer over the washing machine.
1. Lift the dryer by holding the handle at the back of it.
Warning! Be careful not to be injured by the corner of the panel frame projected over the washing machine while stacking. (Wear a glove or a wrist protector.)

3. Fix the product.
① Match the groove in the panel frame with that in the lower front of the dryer.
② Locate the grooves and fasten them with two screws on both sides of the front.
※ Screw fastening torque: 30 kgf.cm (2.94 N.m)

Warning!
  • Be careful not to be injured by contact with the sharp edges of the panel frame of the washing machine.
  • Firmly fasten the screws. (Fasten the screws to the above mentioned torque levels.)
  • Be careful not to use too much torque when you use a screw driver. (When you use an electric screw driver, check the torque step by step and find the optimal torque for fastening the screws.)
  • Be careful not to cause scratches or damage to the surface of the product by a misguided screw driver tip.

4. Connect the drain hose of the dryer and fasten the clamp that came with it.
※ Tools: long-nose pliers
Caution: Push the hose completely in following the direction of the arrow.

Warning!
  • Install the water supply hose ensuring that it is not folded or twisted. (An IE error may occur when water supply fails.)
  • Never loosen the existing fastened screws for fixing the drain hose of the washing machine. (Loosening the screws for fixing the drain hose at the back of the product will cause water to drain and subsequent continued supply of water, leading to an IE error.)

Assembling the control panel

Connect the washing machine connector and the dryer connector to the control panel.
※ Ensure that you connect the 9-pin connector to the 9-pin socket, and the 10-pin connector to the 10-pin socket.

Connect the dryer connector and washing machine connector to the operating part

Turn off the power and place the control panel at the center of the washing machine and the dryer.

Firstly, install the lower front center by pressing and holding it down, and install the 3 positions at the top by pressing them. (Follow the order of installation ① to ④.)

Assemble the first bottom center and the next top three places

Gently pushing the front side, fasten the screws on both sides.
※ Screws to use: Φ4 TAPTITE screws

Warning!
  • When you assemble the display panel, be careful not to have the connector lines caught in between the structures.
  • Do not knock or strike the panel hard when assembling the control panel onto the product.
This may cause scratches or damage to the surface of the product.
Secure the panel with a screwdriver

After fastening the screws, close the caps on both sides.

Warning!
  • Firmly fasten the screws.
  • Be careful not to use too much torque when you use a screw driver. (When you use an electric screw driver, check the torque step by step and find the optimal torque for fastening the screws.)
  • Be careful not to cause scratches or damage to the surface of the product by a misguided screw driver tip.

Moving the product to its final location

Move the washing machine with the stack assembled to the place where it is to be installed and use it.
Before you move it, wrap the product with a protective cover to avoid damage to the product surface by fittings and/or equipment around it.
The combined weight of the product is about 150 kg. Place a thick blanket on the floor under the leveling legs before moving it.
