[LG air conditioner leakage] [Heating] There is a water leak from the outdoor unit. Smoke comes up

Troubleshooting

As opposed to cooling operation, during heating operation, the indoor unit generates hot wind and the outdoor unit generates cold wind.
During heating operation, moisture from the air adheres to the cooled evaporator of the outdoor unit, thus forming ice, and in order to prevent degradation of the cooling performance due to frosts on the outdoor unit, defrosting operation starts.
During defrosting operation, as frosts are melted, water drips to the bottom and it might look like smoke.
This is the result of frost melting and it does not mean a malfunction.

What is defrosting?

This is the function that has warm air coming out of the outdoor unit in order to melt any accumulated frost. The product starts the defrosting function automatically.
During the process of frost melting, steam may be generated or water may drip from the outdoor unit.
At this time, the indoor unit stops with the blade open to prevent cold air from blowing out.
