There are some limitations on retrieving or resetting passwords for App Store accounts depending on the way the account was created. It is recommended that if you have not already created an account that you do so using a computer and not the Blu-ray player itself. See CREATING AN APP STORE ACCOUNT for further information.

Account Creation Using a Blu-ray Player

If you have logged out of your account on the Blu-ray player and have forgotten your password information, it unfortunately cannot be reset due to not being prompted to enter personal information such as an e-mail address.

If this is the case you will need to simply create a new account. See CREATING AN APP STORE ACCOUNT.

Account Creation Using a PC

To reset the account you will need to access

Click the Sign In option at the top of the page.

Click the Forgot Password button from the Sign In screen.

Enter the ID, last name, first name, and email address associated with the account. This information must be entered in exactly as it was during the registration process.

You are then prompted for a password hint or to receive a temporary password sent to the email address associated with the account.
