08/10/2013

Following this development, the Company affirmed that a new shipment of the handsets will be available to all G2 fans at the start of the next month.

The "G2" handset adopts the Android operating system version 4.2.2, and boasts a screen measuring 5.2 inches, with 1920x1080 pixels picture quality, and an IPS high-definition (Full HD) user interface. The screen also tops the market with a brightness of 450 nits, which also makes it richer in terms of color quality. Furthermore, LG’s innovative Dual Routing technology reduces the phone’s bezel to a mere 2.65mm on the side edge, thus making it easier to hold with one hand within the standards of today’s popular 2.7-inch width Smartphone category. It is also available with a battery made of silicone material, which increases its capacity of 3000 mAh, thereby enhancing the speaking time by 18%.

Furthermore, the handset also boasts the most advanced of Qualcomm processors, whereby the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor of 2.26 GHz frequency is designed to enable users to view and record video clips and audio files with superior accuracy and better standards of graphics and data transmission combining speed, accuracy and image clarity.

The G2 is also equipped with two cameras, a front 2.1MP camera, and a 13MP back Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS), thus making it able to capture clear images even when in motion or in dim lighting and across 9 focus points. It also boasts an ability  to take 1080p videos at 60fps, thus raising  the bar for other Smartphones.

Other outstanding features in the G2 mobile include the “Guest Mode” feature that protects users’ privacy. Through it, the user can choose what to display for each person using the handset, thus running a locking mode of its own. The handset can also be used as a remote control for home appliances, as it supports infrared technology. The “Slide Aside” feature also enables users to use three fingers on the application to drag to the right, or to save it in the background, while its flagship KnockOn feature allows users to switch on the phone or switch it off using a simple touch of the screen.
