What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Idea but mouse needs redesigning. The scanner works very well, I am very impressed, no need to be accurate how you drag the mouse to scan, this is awesome technology I really love it, but it would be nice if the LG engineers would redesign the mouse as I find myself doing accidental clicks and it is so hard to click the scan button with out accidently pressing the left and right mouse buttons. LG should concider making a mouse that is wireless with long battery life and it can be used via USB cable too, the best of both worlds :D now that would be the best product ever! Well done LG awesome product, I am happy to upgrade to a better product if LG redesign the mouse. Make the mouse so it can be used either wirelessly or USB cable too. Thanks LG for an awesome product! Cheers :D

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Travel scanner, but no mac I purchased 3 for use at home office and on the road. In the office it is great with sharp images and minimal problems scanning, mainly only when at the edges of a paper and it catches. My travel laptop is a Mac and not having native drivers is a problem. I have Parallels installed with Windows XP and with that running fully I am able to get the scanner working by pressing the mouse button, but not the mouse part. Basically The mouse cannot move the cursor. In Coherence mode of Parallels I have the same problem with the mouse portion. And after a few trys the button works just fine. With some native software for mac this device will be 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent idea, but not without shortcomings Excellent idea, and practical for those want to scan documents on the go, or occasionally scan an A3 document. Image quality is good at 300dpi. However, the main issue I have experienced while using the product is scanning the edges of a book, and usually results in having to re-scan the page a few times to get it right (even then, one can still observe a bit of misalignment in the scanned result). In my opinion, it seems that the optical sensor travels off the edge of the book while scanning the edge, which causes the difficulty/problems. Perhaps having 4 optical sensors instead of 2 placed around the edges of the scanning window would improve robustness? (assuming that 2 sensors would still be on the book's surface even if the scanning window goes over the edge of the book)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Mac? Have been waiting to by this since CES when it was released. I finally get it home and it's not compatible with a Mac... honestly LG, what's the incremental cost of development to write a bit of Mac software. Very poor effort look forward to a competitor coming out who thinks of all customers.
