The IPS and LED backlighting allows the display to be viewed nicely from a wide angle. The stand doesn't allow much movement. You will need to replace the stand if adjustment is important to you, ie. height. The monitor is very lightweight and beautiful to move around. It's very thin and although matt, is nice to look at, making it suitable for a living room or open plan area without the high cost of other photogenic monitors. The colors are more accurate than its non-IPS-LED peers. For viewing movies and office documents, it's fantastic.

Brilliant Purchase
I recently bought a new computer and connected it to an old VGA monitor only to discover that the picture quality just doesn't cut it anymore and I would have to upgrade to a full HD monitor with HDMI in order to get a clear picture. After a lot of research I came across the IPS236V-PN monitor and thought that seeing as though the main use I would have would be as a media centre for downloaded TV shows and movies from iTunes or the like, this looked like a good option. After setting it up and connecting the computer etc I was extremely pleased with the quality! The IPS gives a crisp, clear picture without being too bright and gives a great viewing angle wherever you are sitting. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone!
