To turn your TV and an HDMI-connected device, such as a set-top box or soundbar, on or off together, set Simplink (HDMI-CEC) or Auto Power Sync to On in your TV settings.
Why Do your TV and HDMI Device Turn On Separately?
- When you enable CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), devices connected through HDMI can exchange power control signals and turn on or off together.
- Your TV and external device operate independently by default, so they do not share power control signals unless HDMI-CEC is enabled.
