During the monsoon season, humidity and moisture levels are higher
than usual.
This increases the risk of electrical leakage and shock, so extra care is needed when using electronic devices,
including your TV.
※ Please be sure to observe the following.
- Never touch a power strip or outlet with a wet towel or wet hands.
Always turn off the power and dry your hands before touching any electrical outlets or power strips to ensure
safety.
- If thunderstorms or lightning are forecast, unplug your TV's power cord
from the outlet to prevent damage.
Never touch a power outlet during a thunderstorm.
- If you feel it is dangerous or unsafe to attempt a repair yourself,
please contact LG Electronics Service for assistance.
Unplug your TV's power cord from the outlet if you will not be
watching it for an extended period, such as during a vacation.
If there is a lot of dust accumulated in the ventilation holes on
the back of your TV, clean it with a vacuum cleaner.
This helps prevent malfunctions and hazards caused by trapped
moisture and heat.
Be careful not to tip over the TV or damage the screen when cleaning.
Do not overload power strips, as this can cause overheating.
Replace any blackened outlets, power cords, or damaged power
cords immediately.
If you must use a power strip, regularly check and clean it for
dust.
Excessive dust on the power strip and its connections can cause a fire hazard.
For safety, unplug the power strip before cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner.
Be mindful of electrical safety when plugging the power strip back into the outlet.
Check that the circuit breaker is working correctly.
If the
circuit breaker switch trips when you press the test button, it is working properly.
