  • The speaker settings have changed.

If the TV volume is at the minimum (0) or muted Speaker button image , there will be no sound.
Adjust the TV volume to see if there is a change in sound.
If you are using a set-top box, use the set-top box remote control to increase the volume and check if there is sound.

Note
If the volume bar does not appear, the output speaker is set to an external speaker, and should to be changed to the TV's internal speakers.
A set-top box program error may cause no sound to be output, even when the picture is displayed.

Try this.

Does the volume level not appear on the screen even when you change the volume?

→ Change the output speaker in the TV settings menu.

Changing [Sound Out] in the settings menu
Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
1. Select [Sound Out] in the [Sound] menu.
Check if the output speaker is set to the TV internal speakers.
If it is set to the internal speakers, proceed to the next step.
2. If [Sound Out] is not set to [TV Speaker], change it to [TV Speaker].
After changing to [TV Speaker], check the sound.
Is there still no sound even though the volume is turned up?

→ Run the [Sound Test] in the TV settings menu as described below.

How to perform [Sound Test] from the settings menu
Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
Select [All Settings] in the [Settings] menu.
1. Select [Sound Test] in the [Sound] menu.
2. After selecting [Sound Test], check if the test sound plays correctly.
If there are no issues with the test sound, the problem is likely with the set-top box.
Contact your set-top box provider.
Wait! Here are more tips.
If the set-top box is turned off, "No Signal" will be displayed on the TV.
Check if the set-top box is turned on.
A set-top box program error may cause "No Signal" to be displayed even when it is turned on.
