[LG TV] Clock Setup and Troubleshooting Guide

Troubleshooting

You can set the TV clock automatically using the time information included in digital broadcasts when the antenna is connected.
If your TV is connected to the internet, it can also set the clock automatically using the internet standard time.
The current TV time is used for features such as Power On/Off Timer and for displaying channel information.
To check the current TV time, open Channel Guide.
Note: Some TV models may not support this feature.

Why is the time displayed on the TV incorrect?

  • The TV is not connected to the internet.
  • The antenna is not connected..
  • The location setting is incorrect.
  • The automatic time setting option is turned off.

How to Set the TV Clock from the Settings Menu

Steps for setting the clock on TV models released from 2024 onward [webOS24 or later]

  1. 1. Press remote control Settings [ setting button icon ] button → Select All Settings[ all setting button icon ] icon on top left of screen → [General] → [System].

  2. 2. Select [Time & Timer].

    In system settings, Time & Timer is being selected.
  3. 3. Check the option [Set Automatically].

  • TVs released from 2021 onward [webOS6.0 onward]: Press the Settings [ setting button icon ] button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [General] → [System] → [Time & Timer].
  • TVs released in 2019 [WebOS4.5]: Press the Settings [ setting button icon ] button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [General] → [Timers].
  • TVs released in 2018 or earlier [WebOS4.0 or earlier]: Press the Settings [ setting button icon ] button on the TV remote and select [All Settings] → [General] → [Timers].

※ If your remote control does not have a Settings [ setting button icon ] button, press the remote’s Home [ home button icon ] button and then select the Settings [ setting button icon ] icon on screen.

How to Check the Time on Your TV

To view the time, open the channel guide.

Below is an example image of the channel guide screen.

  • The time shown on your TV is used for the functioning of the Power On/Off Timer and for displaying channel information.
  • The displayed time may differ by region.
  • Depending on the TV model, the screen layout displaying the current time may differ.

  • Q. What can I do if the TV keeps showing the wrong time?
    • Check the internet connection, antenna connection, region setting and whether the automatic time setting is enabled.
      You may need to set the time manually.
