If there is no sound from your TV, first check if [Sound Out] is set to [TV Internal Speaker] or your connected external device.
If you are using a set-top box, also try turning up the volume using the set-top box remote.
If the settings are correct, run [Sound Self-Diagnosis] on your TV.
This will help you check if the TV speakers are working properly.
Why is there no sound from my TV?
1. Audio Output Setting Issues
If you recently disconnected an external speaker, such as a soundbar, you may not hear sound because your TV is still set to play sound through the external speaker.
2. Connected Device Volume and Mute Issues
Even if the TV volume is turned up, you won't hear anything if your set-top box or external device is muted or set to 0.
3. TV Hardware Issues
You may not hear sound if there is an issue with the TV itself.
What to do if there is no sound from your TV
On your TV remote, press the [Settings] (gear icon) or [Mute] button three times in a row.
Step 1. Check external device connections
Try adjusting the volume using both the TV remote and the external device's remote (e.g., set-top box).
Unplug both ends of the HDMI cable connecting the TV and the external device (such as a set-top box or game console), then plug them back in.
Trying a different HDMI cable may also help.
Unplug the power cords for both the TV and the external device, then plug them back in to restart the devices.
