LG refrigerator ice maker - Turning the knob doesn't cause the ice to fall off.

Troubleshooting

LG refrigerator ice maker - Turning the knob doesn't cause the ice to fall off.

Try this

  • Twist the Ice Tray : Turn the lever to twist the ice tray, allowing the ice cubes to fall into the tray below.

  • Activate the Ice Separation Knob : Once the ice is made, turn the ice separation knob clockwise as shown in the manual.

  • Ensure Proper Ice Fall : If the ice does not fall satisfactorily, turn the ice separation knob one more time.

  • Remove the Ice Bin : Lift the ice bin slightly and pull it out to collect the ice.

  • Melt Frozen Ice Tray : If the tray is too frozen for the ice to fall off, pour lukewarm water over the tray to melt the ice, then try again.

  • Turn the lever of the manual ice maker clockwise
    Note!
If the ice is frozen solid, the handle will not turn further in the clockwise direction.
Be careful not to turn the ice separation knob before the water is completely frozen, as the ice cubes may become stuck together.
