Causes and Symptoms

  • I’m curious about how to set the temperature and functions of the built-in side-by-side refrigerator.

Try this

How to set the temperature and functions of the built-in side-by-side refrigerator.

➔ For the built-in side-by-side refrigerator, the temperature can be set from the function setting window inside the fridge.

The set temperature displayed is the target temperature, not the actual temperature inside the refrigerator, so the actual temperature inside the refrigerator may vary depending on the food condition.

The temperature can be set in the function settings window at the top of the refrigerator

➔ The set temperature for the fridge can be adjusted between 1℃ and 7℃.

1℃ is the temperature with the strongest cold air and 7℃ is the temperature with the weakest cold air.

Temperature control with refrigeration temperature button / 1 degrees to 7 degrees Celsius

➔ The set temperature for the freezer can be adjusted between -23℃ and -15℃.

-23℃ is the temperature with the strongest cold air and -15℃ is the temperature with the weakest cold air.

Temperature control with Freezing temperature button / -15 degrees to -23 degrees Celsius
Note
The display window on the front of the door only displays the temperature, with temperature setting not available there.
Important note:
The optimum cooling for an LG freezer is a temperature of  0°F (-18°C).
If your LG freezer uses a numbered scale instead of specific degrees, the number for optimum cooling depends on the range:
  • On a 1 to 5 scale, the setting of  3 is usually the default and recommended starting point, which corresponds to approximately 0°F (-18°C). A setting of  5 (Max) will be the coldest (around -23°C or -10°F), and 1 will be the warmest.
  • On a 1 to 7 scale, the middle range, around  4 or 5, will be optimal, with 7 being the warmest and 1 being the coldest (strongest cold air).
  • Always check your specific model's manual to confirm the number settings, as they may vary.
