Different kinds of noises can be heard from the washer during use.
When components of the washer, particularly the motor parts, operate, various kinds of noises can
occur.
Rest assured, the sounds you're experiencing are typical during regular operation.
Please refer to the information provided below to find out more.
Try this
When the washer is turned on and in operation, the door is locked, making a loud clicking
sound.
When the cycle finishes or is paused, the door unlocks making banging noises.
Rest assured as these are normal operating sounds made by the door lock.
When water is supplied to the washer, whooshing sounds may be heard due to the high water
pressure.
If the noise is too loud, please follow the below steps.
➔ Adjust the pressure.
When high water pressure puts strain on the inner components of the
washer, noise can be created.
Lowering the water pressure using the faucet or water supply valve can be helpful.
➔ Check the water supply hose.
If there are sediments and other substances building up in
the hose or if the hose is kinked, noise can occur.
Disconnect the hose and clean it. If necessary, change out the hose.
➔ Check the water filter.
When there is a build-up of sediments and other substances in the
water filter, the flow of water is blocked, and noise can occur.
Remove the filter and clean it thoroughly.
Splooshing sound
Clattering sound
The sound of laundry moving and dropping inside the drum and the sound of zippers or buttons
colliding can be heard when a front loader washer is in operation.
These sounds indicate that the washer is operating normally.
➔ Please zip up and button up clothes and turn them inside out before washing.
In addition, please empty all pockets, and remove any accessories attached to the clothes.
Clattering or rattling noises may occur due to coins, keys, or accessories attached to the
clothes in the washer.
During the initial phases of water supply, the laundry absorbs water, causing a temporary water
shortage in the circulating pump.
This may result in the discharge of air through the TurboShot nozzle, leading to noise.
This is similar to the sound produced when sipping through a straw. Consider such noises as
normal operational sounds.
When TurboWash/TurboShot is in operation
How to enable or disable TurboWash/TurboShot
➔ Enable or disable the feature by pressing the TurboShot button.
Even when TurboShot is disabled, water streams are shot from a 12 o’clock direction during Spin
cycle.
TurboWash/ TurboShot operates during Spin cycle to maximize rinsing.
During the spin cycle, the drain pump continues to operate, expelling water.
The sound produced during this operation is normal, as it is typical noise associated with
removing any remaining water.
It may be more noticeable when there is very little water left, akin to the sound of sipping the
last bit of liquid from a cup through a straw.
Noise in the initial phase of Spin cycle
Noise during fast spin
When the washer detects an unbalanced state, it pauses the rotation and begins actions to evenly
distribute the laundry.
This process may result in sounds of items colliding.
It is a normal operation designed to resolve uneven distribution of laundry and protect the
appliance.
Rest assured; the product is not faulty, and you can continue to use it with confidence.
Pause the washer, take out the laundry, rearrange the laundry, then resume Spin cycle.
If the laundry is not evenly spread out inside the drum and is shifted to one side, noise can
occur.
If that is the case, press the [Start/Pause] button to stop the washer, take out the laundry,
spread it out evenly, and then resume Spin cycle.
Especially when washing bedding, selecting the [Bedding / Blanket] cycle can reduce noise during
spinning.
As the drum rotates at high speed during the spin cycle, noise is created when water droplets
from the inner drum and laundry hit the outer drum.
This is typical noise associated with the expulsion of water during the spin process, and there
is no need for concern.
