[LG Laptop] I can’t hear any sound from the speaker or my headphones.

Troubleshooting
[LG Laptop] I can’t hear any sound from the speaker or my headphones.

If you cannot hear any sound in Windows, first ensure that the volume is unmuted and the output device is correctly set to [Speakers].
If the settings are correct, the issue is likely caused by an audio driver error. Please uninstall the existing driver from [Device Manager] and reinstall it using LG software (e.g., LG Update).

What are the main causes of no sound?

  • The Windows volume is set to [Mute] or turned down to [0].
  • The output device is set to a device other than [Speakers] (e.g., monitor or headset).
  • The audio driver is corrupted due to a Windows update or system error, preventing the speaker from being recognized.

If the speaker remains inactive even after adjusting Windows sound settings or reinstalling the audio driver, service may be required. Contact LG Customer Support.
