[LG Laptop] Number Keys Are Not Working on the Keyboard

How to Fix the Number Keypad Not Working

Check and Turn On Num Lock

Start by checking the status of the [NumLk] key on your keyboard.

1. 1.Press the [NumLk] key located above the number keypad.
2. 2.Check if a "Num Lock On" message appears on the screen or the keyboard LED turns on.
3. 3.Open Notepad or any input field and test if you can type numbers normally.

Disable Mouse Keys in Windows

If Num Lock is on but you still cannot type numbers, Mouse keys may be enabled.

1. 1.Type Mouse keys in the Windows taskbar search box and open the setting.
2. 2.Set the Mouse keys switch to [Off].

[Emergency] Use the On Screen Keyboard

If the physical keyboard is not working and you need to log in or enter text urgently, you can use the built in Windows On Screen Keyboard.

1. 1.Click the [Search] icon (magnifying glass) on the taskbar.
2. 2.Search for [On Screen Keyboard] and open the app.
   * Note: If keyboard input is completely unavailable, you can also turn it on by going to [Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Keyboard] and enabling [On Screen Keyboard] using the mouse.
3. 3.Use your mouse to type on the On-Screen Keyboard.
