What is pre heating?
When heating has just started, the pipe temperature is raised first before the air conditioner operates, so
unlike the cooling mode, there will be no cold wind unless the internal temperature is at least 26
degrees.
On a day with sudden temperature drop, it might take longer than usual to finish pre heating.
What is defrosting?
During heating operation, there is as much cold wind from the outdoor unit as the warm wind from the indoor
unit, thus as moisture in the air adheres to the outdoor unit, frosts will be accumulated.
Defrosting cycles will be in progress to automatically detect and melt accumulated frosts.
Once the defrosting cycle is started, the indoor unit will pause heating for a moment and then the outdoor
unit will generate heat, causing frosts to melt and white smoke to be generated, and as a result, water can
drip to the bottom of the outdoor unit.
