The drying time is very long. Is this correct?

Washer/Dryer combination units take longer to dry clothing because they are designed to be placed in areas where it is not possible to vent the exhaust air. The moisture removed from the fabrics is condensed back into a liquid and exits through the drain. This process takes longer than an exhaust vented dryer.

Suggestion to help reduce the drying time:

  • Please clean the lint filter as described in your user guide before each new load of laundry. A clean lint filter allows for more air to move through the clothes reducing the drying time.
  • Heavy fabrics take longer to dry because they tend to hold more moisture. To help reduce and maintain more consistent drying times for large and heavy fabrics, separate these items into smaller loads of a consistent size.
