Troubleshooting

As the product's operation display says [To use a smart install product, test operate it first], the product fails to operate or turns off quickly or test operation is failed after the product installation. That is why it happens.

* If this symptom occurs immediately after installation, it is highly likely that the test operation [Smart Install] did not function [Smart install] normally.
You can ask an installation technician for a test run or you can test run it directly yourself.

Product symptoms when a test run is not performed

➔ Floor standing products

1. The product display window shows th e [Smart Install] message.

2. After displaying the smart install message for 20 seconds, the product is stopped.

What is test operation [Smart Install]?

This is the function where the product checks the product’s condition while operating by itself.
If no test operation [Smart Install] is performed for the product, it may not operate properly.

Try this

Run test operation [Smart Install].

➔ If the [Smart Install] message appears, it means that test operation [Smart Install] fails to operate properly after the product is installed.

Note
In cases of 3 in 1/2 in 1 products, test runs can be executed only in floor standing products.
Test operating the stand type product
1. Touch the [Start[ button on the display of the stand type product.

2. If the display window says ‘[Smart Install] Electronics are being reset. Wait without controlling the product until it is completed.’ then it means that it is in progress.
3. When test operation is in progress, it will say for about 3 minutes ‘[Smart Install] Electronics are reset. Wait without controlling the product until it is completed.’ For about 4 minutes, (start 3 to 7 minutes) [Smart Install] From 1 to 99%, the mandatory test operation progress rate is displayed.
Right after that, it will say [Smart install] is completed, and selective operation is automatically executed for about 10 minutes.
In selective operation mode, it will say [Smart Install] ‘Mandatory operation is completed. Check the coolant charging status.’
4. Wait until the test running is completed.

It takes approximately 0 to 7 minutes [required operation].

Smart Installation 0–3 minutes → Smart Installation Progress → Smart Installation Completed

It takes approximately 10 minutes [selective operation].

Warning!

Do not press the display or remote control button while test is running.
If you press the button, the test run may be stopped before completion.
The product does not operate normally if it is terminated before completing the required operation.

A check code such as CH 05, 38, 53, 66, 90 or 91 is displayed on the display window.

These check codes require a product check by an installation technician for such issues as power cord misconnection and refrigerant condition checking in the product installation process.
It is recommended that you check the product status after having an installation technician check the installation status first.
