Noise may be caused by the broadcast signal or a problem with your TV. Use the Sound Test feature to check for issues.

How to Perform the Sound Test

[2020] WebOS 5.0

Press the Settings button image button on your remote → [All Settings] → [Support] → [Additional Settings] → [Sound Test]
Turn on the TV and press the Settings button on your remote.
Select [All Settings] from the Settings menu.
① Select [Support].
② Select [Additional Settings].
③ Select [Sound Test] from the Additional Settings menu.
④ Check your TV sound.

[Before 2019] WebOS 4.5

Press the Settings button image button on your remote → [All Settings] → [Sound] → [Sound Test]
Turn on the TV and press the Settings button on your remote.
Select [All Settings] from the Settings menu.
① Select [Sound]
② Select [Sound Test].
③ Check your TV sound.

[Before 2013] Netcast

[Smart] or [Settings Menu] → [Settings] → [Support] → [Sound Test]

General TVs

[Settings Menu] → [Support] (Press the red button at the bottom of the remote) → [Sound Test]
If the sound plays correctly during the test, the issue is likely with your broadcast signal, not the TV.
Contact your set-top box provider (cable, satellite, IPTV, etc.).
If the sound does not play correctly during the test, contact LG customer support for assistance.
