1. During heating operation, if the outdoor temperature is low and the humidity is high, then there will be frosts on the evaporator of the outdoor unit.
2. If frosts are formed, then the cooling performance will be degraded.
In this case, the product will make its own decision to remove frosts, which is called [Defrosting
Operation].
3. During defrosting operation, as frosts are melted, vapors are generated, and it might look
like smoke.
Now, the heating operation will be halted for about 10 minutes.
4. In case of model with a wired remote controller, at the left bottom of the remote controller, it will say [Preheating Defrosting] and there will be no warm wind for about 10 minutes.
5. In case of model with a remote controller, during defrosting operation, the louver is
almost completely closed and there is no hot wind from it.
In this case, the product displays that there is ongoing defrosting operation on the display window.
6. During defrosting operation, the outdoor unit might generate vapor.
This is the result of frost melting and it does not mean a malfunction.
